Dancing girl (Around 1910)

Rezső Mihály's style was initially influenced by the art of Aubrey Beardsley, which is based on the contrast between black and white, sharp, dynamic and dotted lines, as well as detailed representation and large spots.  Later on, the decorative and flat art of the Viennese Art Nouveau, in particular Gustave Klimt, dominates his work. The change in Michael's graphic style can be traced back to his stay in Paris in 1912. The genre of watercolour was best suited to the more free and delicate drawing style that was emerging at that time.
