About

Árpád Bardócz spent an extended period in Egypt in 1933, where his art won the recognition of the most distinguished circles, he was showered with portrait commissions and managed to win a competition for a hospital mural. In 1935, his works, which are a reminder of his travels in Africa, were exhibited in the Salon of the Fine Arts Exhibitions. Among them was a portrait of King Fuad I, painted on the wall of the Al-Muassat Hospital.
