Glass window plan (1920-as évek)

'Inspired by a medieval stained glass window in Florence, I went to Berlin, where I became a designer at the Heinersdorf Institute,' writes Johan Hugo, describing how his interest and career in stained glass window design began. In 1922, he took over the workshop of the National Stained Glass Workshop in Budapest from Ágoston Treffort, and it was then that his prolific work began, with the glass windows of churches in Budapest, Szeged, Szolnok, Győr, Székesfehérvár, Pannonhalma, Herend, Nagykáta and Pécs being the main stages of his career. However, Johan Hugó constantly fought for the possibility to have stained glass in private homes.
