About

Aiglon, Attila Sassy was from Miskolc, where he always liked to go back. The landscape of Tapolca often comes alive in his paintings, most of his landscapes were made here. He paints the Kőmázsa, their former press house and the forest of Tapolca, to which many of his youthful memories are linked. In Tapolca, the Sassy family had a small vineyard with a press house. When he was young, he used to come out here to relax and create. His pastel painting the Birch Forest shows both the influence of his former master Károly Ferenczy and Art Nouveau decorativeness.
