About

She has participated in exhibitions at the Kunsthalle and OMIKE, but has also exhibited in Italy, Munich and Paris. She later became a member of the Socialist Artists' Group. This oil painting was probably painted shortly after the Second World War. The figure of the naked woman, standing in the centre of the picture, bone and skin, her hands raised to the sky, recurs several times in her paintings, as does the sparkling electric lightning surrounding her, which becomes a subject in her works. Light symbolises at once the end of the world, transcendence and hope.
