Biography

After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest, he studied at Peter Halm's etching school in Munich and then attended Henry Martin's painting school in Paris. He held his first exhibition in Budapest in 1909. During the World War he served as a lieutenant-general and received numerous medals for his merits. He held collection exhibitions at the National Salon in 1911, 1919 and 1927. His pictures are in the possession of several Hungarian and foreign museums. His artistic personality is particularly expressed in his nudes. His compositions are characterised by a realistic presentation, his choice of subjects is bold but always artistic.
