The "100 000" is an example of Kuchta’s experimentation combining different materials. The work of art can be interpreted as both a suspended, decorative image and a spatial object. The superimposed tabs are reminiscent of the close superimposition of human skin cells. The feeling of the appearance of the skin is given by the silky pink hue of the flaps and the veined, hairy texture of the material. This hairy structure goes back to Kuchta’s experiments with hair, in which the artist examined hair and hair as a defining element of the conventional aesthetics of Western society, an essential accessory of beauty and hygiene.
