About

Katalin Petrich (Kató) has always excelled at drawing, even as a child. At college she attended the class of Glatz, who took his students to the art camp in Sopron several times. After that Petrich visited Mohács and Pécs, and then went to her first job in Kőszeg, where she worked as a substitute drawing teacher and boarding school teacher for one year at the Gyurátz Ferenc Evangelical Girls' Lyceum. Besides drawing, she also taught handicraft. It was probably at this time that she painted her painting of the street in Kőszeg with its special chimneys and houses.
