György Greguss

Biography

Gregusswas a  painter, wrote poems and short stories. He was a naval officer and then an art teacher at the Rijeka Maritime Academy. György Greguss left the maritime academy as a cadet on July 1, 1879; he was assigned to the Saida corvette and made a long sea voyage this year and the following year, the main stops of which were Gibraltar, Bahia, Cape Town, and New York. In 1985, he exhibited several of his pictures in the Kunsthalle Budapest. He later went insane and died in a mental institution.
