Biography

Dénes Faddi Förstner was a painter and graphic designer. He was a student of István Réti and Viktor Olgyai at the Academy of Fine Arts. At first he was influenced by the early graphics of Béla Uitz and then by István Szőnyi. In 1924, he visited Italy on a scholarship. In 1928, he organized his first collection exhibition in Berlin. From 1929, he worked for a few years at the Szolnok Artists' Colony. Between 1932 and 1942, he had seven collective exhibitions in Budapest. From 1937, he worked as an illustrator for Tükör. In addition to his post-impressionist paintings, he also created graphic works. He disappeared at the beginning of 1945.
