Biography
Hungarian painter, graphic designer. He painted figural compositions and landscapes in a highly decorative approach, which is mostly in his colorful graphics, the so-called applied in stencils. He studied with Brangwyn and Lickert in London, and in 1916 he had his first collection exhibition there. During his stay in England, he adopted the name "Ferryman". In Hungary, he exhibited graphic works in the Műcsarnok and the Magyar Studio, had a collection exhibition in the National Salon in 1919, and then exhibited in several cities in Germany and Norway. After his highly successful Budapest exhibition at the Belvedere Salon in 1923, he moved to America, where he painted frescoes in the music hall of the Brooks School in New York. At one time, he was engaged in stamp trading on Fifth Avenue. He effectively exploited the painterly results of post-impressionism.
