László Kézdi Kovács

Biography

Painter and art writer. Under the guidance of Antal Ligeti, he started painting without any academic studies. From 1886 he appeared in exhibitions with naturalistic landscapes. He has organized multiple exhibitions and won awards. From 1893, he was the fine arts critic of Pesti Hírlap, and his criticisms were characterized by an academic spirit. In 1902, he published the memoirs of Miklós Barabás. His painting, Forest section is in the Venice Galleria d'Arte Moderna, Speeding Storm and Mill in the forest  are kept by the Hungarian National Gallery.
