Biography
Painter, photographer. He began his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (Prof. Groeber and Gulbranson), then attended the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts between 1929 and 1930 (under the tutelage of Gyula Rudnay). He then worked for two years in Paris, where he participated in exhibitions at the Grand Palais, and later trained at the Academic Modern. In 1931, he exhibited his works for the first time at the National Salon in Paris. In the following years he was a regular exhibitor at the Salon, the Ernst Museum, the Kunsthalle and the Kunsthalle. He is a member of the National Association of the United Hungarian Amateur Photographers. In May 1935 he went on a study tour to Italy, in September to South America and Africa. In November of the same year, he changed his name to Kenederi ('The painters Béla Kern and Andor Kern changed their surnames to Kenedi by permission of the Minister of the Interior', according to the Esti Kurír). In the early 1940s, he is still mentioned in Hungarian newspapers, and after the war he presumably emigrated to Brazil.
