Géza Perneczky, the famous art historian called his style, which is characterized by bound compositions, suggestive, relief-like strong plasticity, abstract forms and a sensitive world of colors, called lyrical realism. In its early creative period, in the fifties and sixties, it was influenced by expressionism, which was determined by the visual experiences of the College of Fine Arts, the art of Pál Szinyei Merse, Károly Ferenczy and then Gyula Derkovits. He exhibited in 1955 with Sándor Bótos and Lajos Újváry. The art of the sixties is called his plastic era: it was then that he painted abstract images and and abstract ordinary scenes. His painting, which took a more transcendental direction from the 1970s, produced cubist, surreal spaces and still lifes. In addition to the Hungarian National Gallery, his works are preserved in several Hungarian museums, and a retrospective exhibition of his oeuvre was held in 2017 in Pest Vigadó.
