About

Johan worked in Gottfried Heinersdorf's glass painting workshop in the first half of the 1920s. After settling in Budapest in 1923, he opened the National Stained Glass Workshop and received numerous commissions from the church over the next two decades. Johan's use of plane geometric shapes is influenced by the Bauhaus, while his colours and Italian fresco painting are also influential.
